Just Getting Started, Again...

I am back on Blogger and starting on a new adventure.  This time I am working toward renewing my current K-12 Visual Art Certification and researching innovative techniques to utilize in benefiting my Visual Arts students and our community.
As a participant of the EDUX 9920 Instructional Design: Curriculum Planning for Student Success graduate course through Dominican University of California, I am required to communicate/collaborate with other educators.  Blogging my work here seemed to be a sensible mode of communication throughout the summer months.

To get the ball rolling, below is a list of activities that I plan to accomplish between now and
August 15th, 2014:
  • Review and Develop new Powerpoint Presentations for existing Art Lesson Plans for my 1-7 Visual Arts Curriculum.
  • Research the S.T.E.A.M. Program
  • Develop Small Group Visual Arts Lesson Plans
  • Revamp my current Curriculum Mapping for 6th and 7th grade Visual Arts
  • Read Best Practice and incorporate procedures appropriate to 1-7 Visual Art classes
  • Review and revise my 1st and 4th grade SLO tests and coordinate lesson plans.
  • Generate a list of procedures to promote Arts Education Advocacy through video media
  • Communication and collaborate with colleagues via this blog, email, and face-to-face meetings.
There will be much more to come.  I will be posting weekly on my activities in the hopes that it will benefit more than just my education.  Please fell free to comment  and offer any "New Possibilities" that you have come across that might be beneficial as I go through this adventure.
